MANAGEMENT AND ADMINISTRATIVE SYSTEM
The Authorities of the Academy will be the Board of Regents, Academic Council, the Centres, Student Welfare Board, Disciplinary Authority, and such other bodies as may be prescribed by Statutes or Rules as authorities of the Academy. Subject to the provisions of the Academy Constitution, the composition and powers of the Authority other than of the Board of Regents shall be determined by Statutes or Rules.
The Board of Regents will be the governing body of the Academy and will have the power to make, amend or revoke any provisions of the Academy’s Constitution. The Board establishes operational policies within which the administration of the Academy operates. In addition, the Board evaluates and receives inputs on institutional affairs through the Provost and reviews all aspects of the Academy’s operations periodically with a view to increasing quality. It will be the responsibility of the Board to monitor the fiscal vitality of the Academy and preside over corporate matters. The composition of the Board will comprise of three permanent members from NeuMatrix Professional Academy Sdn. Bhd. who are shareholders and four to five nominated prominent individuals appointed by NeuMatrix Professional Academy Sdn. Bhd. to a two-year term which may be subject to renewal.
The Provost will be the Chief Academic Officer and Chief Executive of the Academy and be endowed with such powers as provided for under the Constitution to ensure that all relevant laws are observed and to exercise general supervision over the arrangements, instruction, research, administration, welfare and discipline in the Academy and periodically report the same to the Board. The Provost, by virtue of his duties, will serve as the Secretary to the Board of Regents.
The Academic Council will be the highest academic body in the Academy and will have control over the conduct of academic professional and skills programmes, examinations and the award of professional degrees, diplomas, certificates and other academic distinctions, adopting the best practices and policies in the pursuit thereof. The membership of the Academic Council will include the Provost as Chairman, Registrar, Centre Heads and senior academics.
The Senior Management Committee, comprising of the Provost, Registrar, Bursar and Heads of Centres and Departments, will meet regularly to deliberate on all matters relating to the Academy administration, finance, library, discipline, marketing, student and staff issues.
The Academic Advisory Panel comprising of distinguished scholars, eminent educationists and industry peers, from abroad as well as from within the country will be appointed to guide the Board of Regents and Senior Management on educational-cum-developmental strategies and to provide inputs that would serve to enhance the quality, breadth and relevance of its programmes.

Academic System
Provide a strategic academic leadership and continually upgrade and create an academic system that facilitates:
- Improved communications for enhanced productivity;
- Interdependency and teamwork for fast-track outcomes;
- Maximisation of resources for efficient and cost-effective administration;
- A disciplined and corporate culture with shared goals and adherence to work ethics;
- Recognition of individual contributions and achievements to foster commitment to excellence; and
- High standards and quality assurance that embraces the ‘quality improvement cycle’.
Teaching & Learning
- Increase the use of interactive teaching and innovative pedagogy;
- Equip classrooms and laboratories with the state-of-the-art facilities;
- Promote e-learning;
- Develop outcome-based curricula for all programmes with inputs from leading universities and industry;
- Create a student-centred learning environment and inculcate the culture of life-long learning;
- Implement an effective mentor-mentee system in all years of study and
- Ensure that important features such as language skills, communication skills, research projects, industrial training, computer skills and entrepreneurship training are incorporated into all academic and skills programmes to enhance their marketability.
Academic Assessment System
- Regular quality assurance audit of all academic and non-academic units to ensure an accountable performance system;
- Academy-level appraisal of staff performance in teaching;
- An effective student feedback mechanism on programme content and teaching performance of academic staff;
- Department-level assessments of students;
- System of External Examiners appointed by the Academic Council and
- Periodic review and updating of programmes offered by a high profile Board of Studies set up by the Academic Council based on the changing needs of technology and the environment.
Industry Collaboration: Consultancy
- Facilitate all faculty members to establish strong linkages with the industry and obtain consultancy projects periodically;
- Make the Academy a focal point of serving the society with rich technological deliverance through several exhibitions, conferences, seminars and socio-technological events and
- Constantly deliver the updated technological skills to the respective industry practitioners and bring revenue to the Academy.
Research and Development
Establish the Academy Corporate Culture
- The Academy will gradually provide its staff and students the necessary infrastructure and assistance to embark on relevant research in line with its vision to be an Academy of excellence for creativity and innovation.
- The Centres will administer and coordinate all research work by students to ensure uniformity of standards across all its departments.
- To encourage focused research on niche areas, the Academy will establish collaborative research and consultancy links with industry and premier universities.
Variety of Programmes
NeuMatrix plans to broaden its base by providing a variety of programmes, both home-grown and franchised programmes from reputable local and foreign institutions to encompass all disciplines across the whole value chain. Those courses include certificates, diplomas, bachelors and postgraduate qualifications in business, management, information technology, hospitality & tourism, and language. These are in addition to the variety of technical skills-based programmes offered under the auspices of the Human Resources Development Corporation, Ministry of Human Resources, Malaysia.
Teaching with Applications
NeuMatrix’s envisaged distinctiveness is that our programmes will combine robust theory with practical applications. Employers will appreciate the high levels of practicality structured into our courses while our teaching of the theory is highly informed and will be taught by experienced academic staff.
Nationally and Internationally Connected
NeuMatrix will have academic alliances with public and private institutions and professional bodies in Malaysia and overseas. These alliances will support academic relationships to conduct academic and professional courses and enhance educational opportunities for teaching staff, students and those undertaking research-based qualifications.
